About the Geek
I’m Vibeke – an artsy, geeky Web Designer & Website Strategy Consultant, and the founder of VB Website Studio (previously Gorgeous Geek Web Design).
Favorite brain activities: Techy stuff, figuring out solutions, and how to communicate in a way that makes sense to non-tech people.
I run on dedication, great listening skills, and a genuine interest in the businesses I work with, which have resulted in a versatile portfolio and wonderfully happy clients.
I value clear, open communication and one of my main strengths is understanding my clients’ needs and visions. This is why I always remain your main point of contact throughout a project, even on the occasions that I involve collaborators to help me out with parts of the design process.

- Thanks to a frustrating job I escaped the corporate world 🏃🏻♀️, for which I’m now immensely grateful as it started my entrepreneur journey.
- I’m originally from Norway 🇳🇴, but live in Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸, and have been running my web design business since 2014. I work mostly online and my clients are from all over the world.
- I speak 4 languages 🇳🇴 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇩🇪, and have lived in 6 different countries.
- I love birds. You’ll hear bird chirps in the background during our calls (I consider my two budgies, Lola 🐦 & Freddy 🦜, part of my team – have a look how great they work).
- I run a Female Entrepreneur community 👩🏻 here in Barcelona.
- Yoga and meditation 🧘🏻♀️ keeps my busy brain more or less sane, reading relaxes me 📚, and disco music makes me energized and happy 🪩.
- I consider myself a social introvert – a handy combination that allows me to be a great communicator 💬, and be able to stay focused 🔍 when fixing or designing websites 👩🏻💻.
- I love talking and learning about anything self-development, mindfulness and psychology related 🌿. Understanding the human mind helps me create websites that truly connect with clients 💛.
- I also get excited about anything that makes a business more efficient 📋 ✅ , hence I have a second business Biz Efficiency, so if you or your business are chaotic 🌀, I’m all for getting you organized, and support you in keeping it that way.
How I became a geek
I’ve always been a bit geeky. When a bulky 80s computer came into my family’s house, I spent endless hours trying out every setting and configuration possible. It was so exciting that I could change everything to my style and liking.
In hindsight I should have opted for a tech guru career. . .
Still, I spent the first part of my life being a “normal” person. With the exception of being the unofficial tech problem solver at work, my career alternated between the hospitality industry and the corporate world. This, until I somehow ended up as a coffee serving Executive Assistant, wasting my talents. Needless to say, I had to plan my escape.
When I left that job, the idea was to provide administrative support to small businesses, but I mostly ended up helping everybody and their mother with their website.
I love to help people with tech stuff that stresses them out, but is easy for me to do.
The word had spread that I designed my own website, and I soon became the go-to person among expats in my local area, and the international connections soon also brought clients from all around the world. To cut a longer story short: Gorgeous Geek Web Design came to life, and grew into what now is VB Website Studio.
